The Memphis Wine Society was founded in 2023 by Norbert Mede to further wine enjoyment in Western Tennessee through education, advocacy and wine centered events. The Memphis Wine Society is a membership based dedicated to increasing wine awareness and enjoyment for all levels of wine tastes and aptitude. The Memphis Wine Society is open to everyone that has an interest in wine from our introductory Vinebird level to our Masters level membership which has access to Grand Tastings and special wine dinners. The Memphis Wine Society offers a unique, limited time opportunity to join as a Founding Member with lifetime benefits of the society.
Through our commitment to education, we build in learning opportunities to all our events.
From formal educational seminars covering wine basics to blind tasting, to unique food and wine pairing events to our proposed international wine festival, providing guidance and knowledge to our members, and to residents of the greater Memphis metro area alike, is a high priority for the Society.
The Memphis Wine Society will be a consolidator and conduit for all wine activities in the area, providing a central landing spot for the industry and general public to view events and wine related news. The Society seeks to enhance the enjoyment and consumption of wine across all levels and tiers.
Enjoyment of wine is central to our vision and we provide the perfect outlet for wine enjoyment. Wine dinners, pop ups, grand tastings, guest speakers and more are on the menu for our members with over 40 events per year, there is always something wine related on the calendar.
